The Assistant Director, Academic Programs provides daily and long-term administrative oversight, direction, assessment and policy implementation for the Biomedical Engineering Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral programs. This position is responsible for all aspects of academic programming, support, services and planning within the department for faculty and student populations. This includes academic advising, admissions, orientation, recruitment, academic records management, graduation certification and student programming. The Assistant Director, Academic Programs oversees all aspects of curricular planning in BME, including degree and course creations and revisions, enrollment management and academic year course scheduling. The Assistant Director, Academic Programs leads and supervises an Academic Programs team of full-time professional staff members associated with the Master's and undergraduate programs as well as all temporary employees and student employees assigned. This role is integral to maintaining the organizational structure necessary to sustain and grow our academic programs. The Assistant Director, Academic Programs serves on various committees and as liaison to key offices within the University.
